Below I have put photos up some photos of a few of my favourite places to eat in San Francisco. This is definitely not a complete list - rather relied on when I remembered to take my camera with me!
Life of Lekkers San Francisco Haunts
3870 17th Street, SF
Was lured by the bacon donuts - which were good - but will go again for the vegetable cassoulet - amazing depth of flavour (this is from someone who very rarely orders the vegetarian option)
600 Guerrero Street
Went for the morning bun, surprise love was the gougère
Several spots around SF
Cappuccino is great, but am told that they will do a mean flat white if asked - next time im asking!
1026 Valencia St
Also do a fantastic savoury scone
3621 18th Street2406 California Street
Next time I will order the classic Pizza Margherita - great neighbourhood vibe.
2534 Mission Street
Great terrace inside, very comprehensive brunch menu. Will go for their dinner and movie screening next time.
2889 Mission St
Cold beer, always full and lively, great tacos. Mix of local Missionites of all backgrounds.
3 locations in SF, 1 in Palo Alto
Amazing classic Margarita. Best house made salsa.
Craftsman and Wolves
Had heard about "The Rebel Within" muffin - tried it, was very disappointed. Had to ask for salt. Conversely, the pain au chocolat stack was the best tasting and most akin to a French pain au chocolat (despite its appearance) that I have ever eaten outside of France. Looks like a very modern Parisien Patisserie too.
Ferry Terminal building
They had me at "Tasty Salted Pig Parts". Had a very respectable pulled pork sandwich for lunch - take it to one of the benches along from Starbucks, outside the Ferry Terminal Building. Best view, and full afternoon sun (unlike the waterfront directly behind The Ferry Terminal Building which is perpetually in shade.
2 locations, The Ferry Terminal Building and Willy Mays Plaza
Tried all the Tacos - looking foward to trying the soups
1200 Bridgeway, Sausalito
Great terrace right over the water - fresh Dungeness crab while in season - we got the Dungeness crab legs for 2 with an amazing garlic sauce. Decent house made sour dough and very endearing waiter on his first day on the job. Will definitely go back.
